Awarded to personnel who had thirty days continuous service in the Middle East between 2 August 1990 and 7 March 1971, or seven days between 16 January 1991 and 28 February 1991, or service with the Kuwait Liaison Team on 2 August 1990, the date of the Iraqi invasion.
Obverse - Crowned profile of Elizabeth II. Reverse - An eagle and automatic rifle superimposed on an anchor, symbolising the three armed services.
This reproduction Gulf medal is made from silver plated lead-free pewter. It is supplied on a red, yellow and blue ribbon attached to a card with an image of British troops on patrol on the front and historical information on the reverse.
