The Advanced Rig was originally developed for hot weather operations. The front opening allows for ventilation and affords the opportunity, via the zip entry, for stowage behind the mounted pouches. Loss of carriage space at the front is remedied by mounting pouches on the side utility pouches. The rig has tremendous capacity.
