The bearskin is worn by several regiments with their ceremonial dress. This particular one came from the Grenadier Guards.
It has thick fur all over, tapers to a tail at the rear and has an overall height of approx 45cm. There is a wicker type frame inside for support and leather straps which can be adjusted to fit snugly on the crown of the head. The internal circumference is approximately 59cm.
This is complete with the original white plume on the side which can be removed.
