We have sourced a very limited supply of these Bomb Disposal trousers. Issued for the first time to troops in Afghanistan in 2011, these knee-length trousers are officially called "Tier 3 of the Pelvic Protection System". They are used in conjunction with ballistic panels (not included) which are inserted into pockets inside the trousers. This system then offers the level of protection required for roles such as the lead metal detector in teams searching for Improvised Explosive Devices.
Without the inner ballistic panels, these are really unique three-quarter length trousers. With the quality and durability you'd expect from such a military garment, coupled with the reinforced areas, these would be very suitable for summer workwear. They are designed to be worn as over-trousers so do come up quite large.
