The chukka is the most common safety shoe available. It offers good value, providing the basic protection of 200J from impact, and 1500N of compression force.
Black in colour, with leather upper, the chukka blends in well as a normal shoe and will be suitable for most jobs that require a steel toe.
As well as toe protection, the chukka offers an anti slip and oil resistant sole, anti-static properties and is heat resistant to 200C.
As well as factory workers, these are popular amongst those working on construction sites, in warehouses and anywhere there is moving of heavy objects. They are also great for garden centre staff or for working on the garden at home and will save your toes from shovels and edging tools!
Approximate weight of a single size 8 shoe is 700 grams.
Not recommended for motorcyclists.
