Make way for Magnum's newest release - the Stealth Force 8.0 WPI Boot featuring new Ion Mask technology. Resulting from an MOD research project, Ion Mask is a technical process which enables waterproof polymers to infuse the shoes/boots on a sub-microscopic scale. This means that every single fibre of the material is given a layer of water repellent polymer only molecules thick, unlike conventional waterproof boots which just have an outer layer of waterproofing.
The entire boot undergoes this Ion Mask treatment so even the seams and laces become waterproof. This also has the advantage that the boot will gain less weight when used in wet conditions as the materials retail less water.
Ion Mask also helps to keep your boots clean. The treatment helps to repel dirt and stains just as it does water. It also repels oil, fuel and alcohol - triple resistant cover for truly life-saving protection.
In critical circumstances the transfer and contact of disease and infection can be potentially fatal. Complying with ISO16604 (the resistance of materials used in protective clothing) the Ion Mask treatment on these boots combats the penetration of pathogenic micro-organisms in human blood that cause disease and contamination.
