Q: These look to be sized large. I have a 44" chest and long arms and normally take a large but may fit into a medium. Please could you give the pit to pit and sleeve length of the medium and large.
A: Approx measurements are as follows. For the medium the pit-to-pit is 24" and underarm sleeve length (armpit to cuff) is 21". For the large the pit-to-pit is 26" and the sleeve length is just over 21". I hope that helps.
Q: can the hood be folded into collar ? or is it out permantly?
A: It is out permanently on this jacket.
Q: How waterproof is this jacket? How resistant is it to UK rain? What could be its main uses?
A: It is water-repellent but not fully waterproof, so will withstand light rain but not a downpour. It has a fleece lining and is windproof so can be used wherever a lightweight warm jacket is required.

Excellent Product.
I found this jacket to be an excellent product for hillwalking and, here in Belfast for trips around Belvoir Forest / Lagan Valley etc. Very warm and comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending this jacket and I am in the process of ordering another one for a friend.

Great Jacket
After weeks of looking for a jacket for my outdoor pursuits i finally settled on this one, few questions to the helpful staff at M&G and i was convinced. well what can i say there is no looking back its warm windproof and after an additional coat of water proofing (just my own preference...better safe than wet) its got me through the winter and still looking as good as they day i opened the packet.
Pros: Windproof, Warm, Looks great, Excellent value for money

Sizing: Feels about right
Would recommend: Yes
