Today I'm reviewing the Waterproof Breathable Jacket made by Highlander. It's Mean and Green's best-selling waterproof jacket and it's just got even better. Allow me to explain why. The Ab-tex trilaminate fabric is the equivalent to Gore-tex with a 5000mm hydrostatic head. It's 100% waterproof and breathable with fully taped seams.
Within the collar is a concealable hood which is held in place with some push buttons. The hood is easily unravelled and when in the desired position, the hood can be further manoeuvred or manipulated using some elastic drawstrings at the side.
Two large bellows pockets on each hip are pressed and fastened, incorporating side access hand warmer pockets. On the back of the jacket is a ventilation strip with mesh section. There is a two-way zip underneath each armpit to give added ventilation.
Each of the cuffs is elasticated to give it a windproof design, but they can be further tightened using velcro fastening. There is an elasticated draw cord each side of the waist which will enable you to cinch down that middle area.
There is a full length, two-way zip with press stood storm flap going up the middle of the jacket. And the zip is a tough and durable nylon SBS zip for both cold and warm climates with rubber zip pulls to give you additional grip.
For those that want to stay dry, warm and comfortable even when the weather's bad, this jacket is for you.
