Certified to KR1 (knife) specification, this vest features 5mm lightweight rigid panels which provides unmatched blunt trauma protection from a punch, blow or kick. Research shows that an impact-based assault is a more likely event than an attack involving an edged weapon or firearm - a fact that is often overlooked.

PPSS Unrated Covert Vest
Although without official certification, these panels are made from the same material as the previous vest but are thinner at just 3mm. PPSS have themselves tested this and they report that it withstood a knife attack with a force of 16 Joules (KR1 standard protects up to 24 Joules). As with other vests by PPSS, this also offers protection from blunt trauma attacks.

Another vest without official certification, this is a lightweight option where low cost is a priority. Weighing in at just over 2kg, this vest is fully adjustable and offers protection from knives, hypodermic needles and blunt trauma although not officially rated.
