Q: Regarding the above Jacket , can you please tell me the range / size Medium
A: I have taken some approx measurements for this jacket and they are as follows
armpit to armpit approx 25 inches
collar to hem approx 27.5 inches
and shoulder to cuff approx 26.5 inches
Q: Is this jacket that would be suitable for working outside in the winte? Does it have an inner fleece thats fairly thick?
A: It is suitable as it has a quilted inner, although no inner fleece. The CW in CWU stands for Cold Weather!
Q: Judging from the picture, this jacket looks like it is more fitted (cut slimmer around the torso) than some other CWU/45P jackets. Does this jacket have a slimmer cut, or is it just the camera angle?
A: I would say the jacket is slightly fitted, but not to the extent that this should affect which size you buy.
Q: what is the difference between waterproof and water repellent?
A: Water repellent means it will resist water up to a point, but it will eventually seep through if exposed to enough water (a torrential downpour or immersed in water). Water proof means no water can pass through the fabric at all.
Q: Is the Inner Lining of the Jacket the standard Orange colour?
A: No, that's the MA1 jacket you're thinking of.
Q: Is the zip a real brass zip?
What does it say on the zip? Does it say Delta on the zip?
What is the distance from armpit to armpit on a large?
What is the distance from armpit to end of cuff on a large?
Is the outer shell tough nylon, like the Alpha? I have noticed, from having a couple these jackets, from other sources, that the outer shell varies in quality. I want the outer shell to be tough, like the Alpha.
A: The zip is a heavy duty brass zipper that has the wording Delta Ind. written on it. The distance measured armpit to armpit for a size large jacket is approximately 26". The distance from armpit to cuff is approximately 20.5". The outer shell is 100% nylon and is of a good durable quality.
